Case Study (Design for print)

Texel Bulletin

The Society and its 19 regional clubs market some 12,000 breeding rams through 35 sales throughout the UK. We have been working for the Society for 8 years and have completed many projects including the October 2021 Texel Bulletin which serves as a source of information for all Texel breeders.

Company Name: British Texel Sheep Society
Date: October 2021

Formed in 1974 the British Texel Sheep Society has grown into the largest registry of pedigree Texel sheep anywhere in the world. Today more than 2000 members birth notify 55,000 lambs with 20,000 females and 1500 males going onto full pedigree registration annually.

Thoughts & Ideas

We drafted up some ideas of front covers and page layouts.

Finalising The Design

Once approved, we got to work on ironing out the little details and choosing the final versions of layouts.

Design & Build

We created the bulletin using a mix of Adobe Illustrator & Adobe InDesign, utilising a fresh and unique approach.

The Requirements

Texel needed their bulletin done to give them a creative edge, they wanted something that stood out from the crowd and showed off their brand in a cohesive way.

They wanted the bulletin re-designed to highlight the imagery which is a favorite of breeders.

The Result

Having worked with Texel for many years, we were well equipped for the job and had a good knowledge of their brand guidelines and the bulletin quickly came together with a very cohesive feel throughout.

We saw what Ghost was doing For The British Limousin Cattle Society and how they had raised their profile in such a limited timeframe. Our business directly parallels theirs in many ways so I asked for an introduction. They have taken our brand to the next level and continue to produce high-quality design that keeps us ahead of our competition.
