Johnsons Lawn Seed

Often a product will come in more than one size and variety this was one of those products. There were 4 sizes and 12 varieties so as well as a complete rebrand of how the boxes looked we had to create 48 individual pieces of artwork. each variety sports a hero image shot in-house and a different colour for easy identification.

Established in 1820 Johnsons Lawn Seed is the oldest lawn seed brand in the UK with a long and presitgious record of product innovation and grass breeding. Part of the DLF group, Johnsons Lawn Seed mixtures are carefully designed and tested to ensure the best performance for lawn owners using the latest grasses from their research and development laboratories.

We drafted up some designs and played with some unique ideas.

Finalising The Design

Once approved, we got to work on ironing out the little details and choosing the final versions of the boxes.

Building the Boxes

We created bespoke boxes for their range of lawn seeds which adhered to their brand guidelines but gave them a creative edge over the competition.

The Requirements

They needed packaging which will stand toe to toe with a vast offering of compeitors and ensure that their product is the one customers pick off the shelf. They needed the little details tweaked such as shape, colour and even texture to give the product a premium feel.

The Result

The product has been performing great for the client and they have received nothing but positive feedback around the box designs and it continues to do well today.
