British Simmental

The website serves as an information source for many breeders and potential members so creating an informative website that met the needs of many users was key to our design, ensuring the site was accessible on all devices and cross-browser compatible.

After fifty years of farming and breeding, British Simmental is a unique, modern beef breed full of quality and the demonstrable traits of economic importance that bring profitability to beef producers.

Brief & Draft Design

We drafted up a proposal and created custom wire-frames to give an idea of the initial design.

Proto type & Testing

Once approved, we got to work on testing necessary features and creating core pages and cornerstone content.

Build & Development

We built the site using the WordPress CMS with custom development around category filters to allow multiple different news feeds.

The Requirements

Having built the original site many years ago, Simmental approached us to re-build their new one which would re-energize their company brand image and feel. They needed something functional which would appeal to the next generation of breeders.

They asked us to revitalize their website and bring it into the 21st century.

The Result

Upon receiving the task, we quickly got to work and soon had a style guide created which would make up a very on-brand website that captures the audience’s attention and serves as a location for information, news, and updates for the society.
