Our Story.

Ghost Design was founded in 1999 by Terry Burrows, born from a passion for creativity and a vision to make an impact in the design world. Starting from humble beginnings, the journey began in a spare bedroom, filled with ideas and a commitment to delivering exceptional design solutions.

In 2000, recognising the need for a dedicated workspace, an extension was built onto the house, transforming it into a self-contained office. This space became a hub of innovation and creativity, where ideas flourished and early projects took shape. For four years, this cozy office witnessed the growth of Ghost Design.

By 2004, the workload had grown significantly, leading to the pivotal decision to hire the first employee. This marked a new chapter for Ghost Design, as collaboration and fresh perspectives began to enhance the creative output. With the expansion of the team came the necessity for more space, prompting a move to a new location on Park Street in Leamington Spa.

As the team grew to four talented individuals, 2006 brought exciting developments. Ghost Design ventured into web development, hiring an in-house developer to meet the increasing demand for digital solutions. This diversification marked a significant evolution in the agency’s offerings, setting the stage for future growth.

In 2014, Ghost Design took a bold step and moved in with one of its largest clients, who had recently acquired a magnificent building on Warwick New Road in Leamington. The top floor of this historic property became the new creative sanctuary for the team, fostering collaboration and innovation in a vibrant environment.

The team adapted to unforeseen challenges during the pandemic while continuing to thrive in their unique workspace. For seven years at the Warwick New Road location, Ghost Design built lasting relationships and delivered exceptional work, solidifying its reputation in the industry.

As 2024 came to a close, Ghost Design faced yet another transition, having outgrown their beloved space, It was time to move again. The next chapter began at Mill Street, a vibrant, newly built co-working space in Leamington, where creativity and collaboration could flourish once again.

After 2 exciting years at Mill Street we have recently said a sad goodbye to all the staff and new friends we made there. We are now situated at Squab Hall, overlooking the breathtaking Warwickshire countryside, Ghost Design has found a new home for the foreseeable future. This serene and inspiring location sets the stage for the next phase of growth and creativity, as the agency continues to evolve and embrace new opportunities. The journey of Ghost Design is a testament to resilience, innovation, and the unwavering commitment to excellence in design.
